Blogging & Social MediaBlogging and Social Media is NOT a fad or some new age trend! They are tools used to engage current clients and attract new ones. We live in the information age and the way we communicate is being re-written as we speak. The once Goliaths of Industry are now finding themselves less in control and small businesses can truly compete with Fortune 100′s.

There are still far too many professionals who aren’t connecting the dots. Back in the day (6+ years ago) if you started a business then you would have to figure out what the best ways were to grow and advance you bottom line. Deciding on the best marketing options from radio, tv, print and/or word of mouth were your options.

Fast forward to today and you still have the same challenges but technology has simplified processes and lowered costs. You can now be everywhere at once and for a fraction of what it would have cost you.

Technology has added an obstacle in the fact that you have to learn what it is you don’t know – learning curve. But with the proper strategy, time and commitment you could be selling off your venture in under 10 years for a tidy profit!

We still see professionals who don’t blog and/or aren’t utilizing social networks. The numbers are in folks! There is no getting around the fact that things have changed and that if you want to be successful and/or compete you also have to change.

What’s even more startling is that professionals aren’t putting in the proper investment into their brands. Being that the average closing nets agents and brokers thousands this is very confusing? Your businesses isn’t worth $5,000+? The ROI (return on investment) would be priceless!

Like any industry once something has been around long enough to track and see trends you can then make informed decisions about how to proceed. When it comes to blogging and social media the numbers are in and they are astounding! Literally through the roof!

If you want to be successful now and in the future you had better get with the fact that we live in a Social Web World. People want information and to be able to engage and share your brand with others. If you don’t provide these tools and options then someone else will … it’s that simple.

Will it take time, energy, commitment and budget to achieve a successful webbosphere? Yes! It will take all those things regardless of how you look at it. Your in business! If it was that easy who wouldn’t be doing it! So ask yourself if your ready to get serious and buckle down and give the people what they want. If you decided yes get ready for a great ride and if your answer is no then good luck to you.

The Real Estate Industry is independent in nature and concept. By default it requires a strong work ethic and a can do attitude. So if keeping up with blogging and social media is too much for you then you might want to consider a career change.
